We are pleased to let you know that An DROUIZIG is now 7 years old. During these years of great productivity its members have been working on 5 main areas:

  1. Development, porting and improving the Breton spell checker, "An DROUIZIG Difazier", whose latest version is 2010. The spell checker dictionary knows about 1.600.000 forms of unified Breton, it detects mutation and simple syntax mistakes. For Microsoft Office 2000/2002(XP)/2003/2007/2010. The software is free of charge. Recently partially ported under OpenOffice.org, the spell checker dictionary is installed by default with the Breton pack of the OOo suite, since version 2.0.2.
  2. Promoting and selling the "C'HWERTY" computer keyboard, that has already been sold to hundreds of associations, individuals, militants... Made in accordance with the standards of this industry, the keyboard layout is especially designed for the Breton language but does not disturb an input in French in any way. All the control and function keys have Breton names.
  3. Making and translating software in Breton. There are now about thirty software in Breton available on this site (games, utilities...), they are free of charge for the big part of them. Amongst them you can find the great standards of free and open source software: OpenOffice.org 2.x, Mozilla Firefox, Mozilla Thunderbird, FileZilla, eMule, Scribus, GIMP, AbiWord... The whole team of An DROUIZIG is very pleased to let you know that you are invited to download them, try them and send your comments! Thanks to participate in the forums built for that purpose. We exert ourselves at maintaining up to date translations for all the software available for download on this site.
  4. Since 5 years now, we have also been maintaining a Latin spell checker, COL, already deployed by hundreds of medievists and philologists from several countries. It works under Microsoft Word, OpenOffice.org 2.0.3+ and AbiWord. We are the dedicated team that brought the br-FR (breton-France) and la-VA (latin-Vatican) locals to the OpenOffice.org foundation.
  5. Last but not least, for the Esperantists, we have created a simple keyboard driver based upon the AZERTY layout, that takes into account the diacritics of Esperanto.

List of headings...

  1. "An DROUIZIG Difazier 2010" spell and syntax checker.
  2. A computer keyboard "C’HWERTY" to suit Breton speakers and polyglots needs.
  3. Software created in Breton or translated by us (OpenOffice.org, Mozilla Firefox, Mozilla Thunderbird, GIMP, FileZilla, WinRAR, Scribus, eMule, AbiWord...).
  4. Board games in Breton for secretaries and children.
  5. Incubator, ongoing translation efforts.
  6. "Pouldrouizig" : Miscellaneous things of interest.
